Why would I want or need a standby generator? Whether or not you are home, your generator will provide electricity during a power outage to keep your heating, air conditioning, sump pump, refrigerators, water heaters, lights, telephone, television, etc. running as normal. A standby generator is fueled by LP gas. No extension cords to plug in or gas tanks to fill as with portable generators.
Prices vary based on size of house (whole house generator) and/or number of circuits (partial house generator) to be kept running in case of a power outage.
