"Kitchen Addition We had Collins Construction add a new kitchen addition to our older 2 story home. Initially we worked with Baird & his daughter Kathy developing a computer model of our kitchen layout. They listened to what we wanted and with some back & forth and a couple of major changes developed a plan that ultimately met more than we initially thought we needed. What really impressed us was they didn’t try to push their ideas on us but took the time to listen to what we wanted or thought we wanted, then gave us some guidance and where it made sense offered suggestions for improvement. Most of the time those “suggestions” were items we had not thought of and we were glad they made them. The actual wall removal and construction went well. It is disruptive to your normal routine regardless of who performs the work, and we expected that, but Baird’s guys were great to work with and as the job progressed, they were willing to make changes and adjustments to the original plan. During the footer & foundation stage I asked Baird about adding a small porch to the end of the new kitchen. He said “No problem.” A couple of months later we have this cute little porch. I later asked about some additional lighting, flooring work and replacing a couple of older existing doors with new ones. Once again this wasn’t a problem. Yes, at the end of the day these additional items are added to the cost but there wasn’t any problem or fuss to have them add these items to the overall project. They actually asked if there were any other changes we would like to make. Regarding the finished project, the 30+ feet of custom cabinetry and countertop are gorgeous. We are really impressed with the cabinetry work and just love the “pantry”, “appliance garage” and other innovative cabinet ideas that Curt proposed. We also are impressed with the craftsmanship of all the guys that worked here. I have been a D-I-Y guy for many years but I am really, really glad and thankful we had Baird and Company do this project for us. We love it and will look to them again for any future construction projects we dream up."

When our carpeted family room and another room were completely covered in water, we knew who we wanted to call. Mr. Collins scheduled his crew and other workers in a very timely manner. EVERYONE was accomodating, polite, worked hard and did excellent jobs. Also Tracey, the first "go to person" is always polite and efficient. Thank you all."
